A kitchen painter was needed in this beautiful and unusual home.

The house itself is a gorgeous georgian building and is tucked away with an amazing garden.

The kitchen is well made and has been fitted well.

It was however looking very dated despite being a high end kitchen.

I was asked to paint the kitchen units.

They are made of oak and made to a good standard.

But they are however looking dark and dated and need a makeover.

The units meanwhile cry out for a kitchen painter.

I like to see a contrast between the worktops and units to create a floating look to the worktops.

I remove all fittings and degrease where necessary.

After a preliminary rub down i prime with Farrow & Ball wood primer.

I then rub down again and apply the 1st undercoat.

After another rub down, i apply the first coat of Pavilion grey estate eggshell.

Another rub down and the final coat of eggshell goes on.

My customers will paint the walls to compliment the units.

They are great and a pleasure to work for.

Why hand paint your kitchen?

To replace a kitchen can be an extremely costly and disruptive process that could cost you thousands. But as long as the current layout works for you then why change it ?

James Perry’s  quality preparation and painting can breathe new life into your tired and dated kitchen for a fraction of the cost.

A new bespoke kitchen with hardwood doors can often cost between £10-£20,000 nowadays.

When you factor in these figures and also the upheaval and inconvenience, painted kitchens make sense!

Your kitchen is the heart of your home and a room that you probably use the most.

Therefore a great kitchen creates a great atmosphere and to my mind is a good investment.
